Worlds Apart

Writer's picture: Sam NashSam Nash

Worlds apart.

Oceans divide.

No one can guess

the bonds we hide.

Midnight smiles.

Lovers delight.

As kids we giggle

in the world at night.

Interesting lives.

The dreams we strive.

Across watery worlds

at different times.

The tide comes in.

In waves and sin.

Sending our worlds

to run and swim.

The talks we share.

The looks and stares.

As the world goes by

without a care.

The lies we weave.

The worlds we leave.

To echo the truth

we don't believe.

Yet love we feel.

Our world to heal.

Which makes us strong

like Damascus steel.

Hmmmm. Sounds like another dedication to me. My father taught me that Damascus steel is used to make the old time black powder double barrel shotguns.
